Raipur. On the occasion of Veer Bal Diwas, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai visited the Railway Station Gurudwara in the capital on Monday evening. He bowed before the Guru Granth Sahib and paid tributes to the young Sahibzadas—Sahibzada Fateh Singh and Sahibzada Zorawar Singh—who sacrificed their lives for the protection of faith and the nation.
The Chief Minister said that from the first Sikh Guru, Guru Nanak Dev Ji, to the tenth Guru, Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the Sikh Gurus and their families made unparalleled sacrifices in the service of truth, righteousness, and the country. The contribution of Sikh warriors remains a proud and permanent chapter in Indian history.
He added that Veer Bal Diwas, observed on December 26 every year, commemorates the extraordinary bravery and martyrdom of the young Sahibzadas. Initiated by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the day is now celebrated across the country with great reverence and grandeur.
CM Sai further said that, respecting the demand of the Sikh community, the state government has included the story of the Sahibzadas’ bravery in the school curriculum. Students of Class 3 will now study this chapter, helping future generations understand the values of courage, truth, and sacrifice embodied by the Sahibzadas.
The event was attended by CREDA Chairman Shri Bhupendra Savanni, NAN Chairman Shri Sanjay Shrivastav, Minority Commission Chairman Shri Amarjeet Singh Chhabra, Gurudwara Management Committee President Shri Surender Singh Chhabra, and many representatives of the Sikh community.
