The Next 10 Years Are Crucial for the Bharat, Otherwise We Will lagging Behind the World: Dr. Ram Madhav

  • Investing in innovation, technology, research and development is the only way forward
  • Huge gathering at the release, discussion, and deliberation on the book “The New World: 21st Century Global Order and India”

Raipur. The next 10 years will be decisive and strategic for building the Bharat. The work carried out in this period will determine Bharat’s position in world politics. These remarks were made by RSS thinker, author, and pracharak Dr. Ram Madhav while addressing the book release, discussion, and deliberation program of his latest book “The New World: 21st Century Global Order and India” held at the Convention Hall of the New Circuit House, Civil Lines, Raipur. The program was jointly organized by the Sahitya Akademi, Chhattisgarh Sanskriti Parishad, and Chhattisgarh Young Thinkers Foundation.

He said that lethargy is growing in our country. The world is undergoing massive change. By the time we update ourselves, the world moves on to something new. Therefore, our mindset must focus on investing in innovation, technology, research, and development. We cannot leave everything to governments. The responsibility to take Bharat forward must now be shared by state governments, entrepreneurs, and thinkers.

The program was presided over by Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh and Deputy CM Vijay Sharma, who also addressed the gathering. In addition, Apurva Mishra, Advisor to the Prime Minister’s Economic Advisory Council, was present as a speaker. The session was conducted by Shashank Sharma, President of Sahitya Akademi, Chhattisgarh Sanskriti Parishad.

The World is Undergoing Transformation

According to Madhav, the world today is undergoing transformation. The old order is collapsing and a new one is yet to be built. In the meantime, “monsters” have arisen. This is why protests have surged in several countries. We are in a transitional period where humanity is searching for a new order. At such a time, Bharat must move ahead and take part in shaping the top-level policies of global transformation. We have just 10 years.

Responsibility to Stand Strong in the Era of MetaHumans

He pointed out that we are heading into the age of “MetaHumans.” Is Bharat preparing itself for this? Unfortunately, there is hardly any serious work being done in R&D in our country. “Get prepared. In the coming 10 years, we must align ourselves with this changing era, otherwise we will fall behind. If Bharat wishes to lead the world, it must stand up,” he stressed.

No More Excuses of Internal Problems

“We can no longer make excuses about internal crises in our states or districts. Every developed nation has faced such challenges but moved ahead. In the 1960s, America went through major turmoil due to racism, but it advanced because it gave up excuses and focused on the future. Likewise, we must base our journey on ideation and innovation,” Madhav asserted.

Bharat Lagging in Research and Development

Madhav noted that Bharatiy universities lag far behind those of nations that dominate the top of the geopolitical leadership board. These countries invest heavily in R&D. Until now, America has led the world, but if in the next decade we do not change our mindset and invest in innovation ourselves, it is possible that China will take the lead.
