Raipur. Under the banner of the Sarva Hindu Samaj, a Hindu Conference was organized in which, along with the gentle and pleasant breezes of spring, a wave of unity flowed in harmony across Raipur city. With the arrival of the spring season, religious and social activities in the city were seen at their peak of enthusiasm.
At the Hindu sammelan held in Mahamai Para Basti of Purani Basti, mahanagar kaaryvah Bharat Bhushan Verma said that India’s great global philosophy is a reflection of the vast traditions of Hindu society. He emphasized that we must organize our lives according to Hindu philosophy so that the nation can move forward and speak in one voice of unity.
At the conference held in Sundarnagar, Deendayal Nagar, Akashdeep Gupta, Raipur Mahanagar Sah- Karyvah of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), spoke about the life of Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, the founder of the Sangh, highlighting his steadfast Hindu commitment. He narrated that during his childhood, Dr. Hedgewar threw away sweets distributed on the occasion of the British Queen’s birthday, as he deeply loved his country and could not tolerate the injustices inflicted upon it. He further explained that Dr. Hedgewar chose to go to Calcutta for his medical studies with the intent of learning how to build and lead movements, a quality that shaped him into a skilled strategist. All these actions, he said, naturally contributed to strengthening Hindu unity. By sharing such a life philosophy, he emphasized the need to awaken the dormant Hindu society.
During the programs, revered saints delivered inspiring addresses in one voice, highlighting the significance of the Hindu Conference organized by the Sarva Hindu Samaj under the guidance of the RSS. Women speakers (Matr Shakti) also spoke extensively on the role of women on the occasion of the completion of 100 years of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. They emphasized that to understand society, it is essential to understand the family, as the family is the fundamental unit of society.
Grand Events Held at 12 Locations Across the City
Similar conferences were organized at eleven locations across Raipur, where prominent speakers shared their views. All speakers described the 100-year journey of the RSS as an inspiring saga of service, values, and organization. They highlighted Hindu unity, social harmony, and cultural consciousness as the true strength of the nation. Emphasis was laid on the protection of Indian values, considering the family as the cornerstone of society. Through the concept of “Panch Parivartan” (five transformations), a call was made for a self-reliant lifestyle, environmental conservation, and the fulfillment of civic duties.
Large participation of citizens, youth, and women was witnessed across all venues, reflecting strong community involvement.
Hindu Conference began with Panthi Dance and Tribute to Guru Ghasi Das
At the Hindu Conference held in Jora Basti, Krishak Nagar, the spirit of unity and harmony came alive when the program began with worship at the temple of Guru Ghasi Das Baba. The event featured a captivating group performance of the traditional and philosophical Panthi dance. Through songs and dances, messages were conveyed about breaking caste barriers, social unity, prevention of female foeticide, value-based education, nutrition, and the broader vision of Hindu philosophy.
