Jashpur | Sending a clear yet silent message against child trafficking in Chhattisgarh and demonstrating deep sensitivity toward children, Vishnu Deo Sai celebrated his 62nd birthday with children at the Balak Ashram in Bagia, Jashpur district. By cutting a cake with the children and spending time among them, the Chief Minister conveyed not only human compassion but also a firm, symbolic message to the administrative machinery and those involved in child trafficking that the state stands fully committed to child protection.
As soon as the Chief Minister arrived at the ashram premises, smiles lit up the children’s faces. They ran toward him, and within moments, the formal setting transformed into a warm, family-like gathering. At that moment, he appeared not as a constitutional authority, but as a caring guardian among the children.
Children’s Smiles Became the Greatest Birthday Gift

Chief Minister Sai cut the birthday cake with the children and personally served them cake and chocolates. He interacted with them warmly, asking their names, enquiring about their studies, interests, and dreams, and encouraging them to study sincerely and aspire high in life.
He said, “The smiles on your faces are the greatest gift I could receive on my birthday.”
These affectionate words touched the children deeply and strengthened their sense of trust and belonging.
A Clear Signal of Commitment Against Child Trafficking
Celebrating his birthday at the Balak Ashram was not merely an emotional gesture, but a strong symbolic warning to those engaged in child trafficking. It reflected the government’s unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety, protection, and rights of every child. The act of standing with children and celebrating with them conveyed a powerful message to both society and administration that not a single child will be left unprotected.
A Family-Like Atmosphere at the Ashram
The atmosphere at the ashram resembled a joyful family celebration. The Chief Minister blessed the children by placing his hand on their heads and encouraged them to grow into responsible citizens who would bring pride to their families, society, and the state. The joy in the children’s eyes and smiles clearly showed that the day had become an unforgettable memory in their lives.
It is noteworthy that the Balak Ashram, Bagia, accommodates students from Classes I to V, most of whom belong to tribal communities. The Chief Minister’s presence and his decision to celebrate his birthday with them became a moment of pride, security, and inspiration for the children.
On the occasion, MLA Gomati Sai, Commissioner Narendra Dugga, IG Deepak Kumar Jha, Collector Rohit Vyas, Senior Superintendent of Police Dr. Lal Ummed Singh, along with local public representatives, officials, and the ashram’s teachers and staff, were present.
