Adi Karmyogi Abhiyan Gains New Momentum: Volunteer Orientation in Jashpur Accelerates Tribal Development

Jashpur | With the objective of developing grassroots leadership within tribal communities and ensuring effective last-mile delivery of government schemes, an Adi Karmyogi Volunteer Orientation Programme was organised under the Adi Karmyogi Abhiyan at the Collectorate Conference Hall in Jashpur.

The programme was successfully conducted under the joint aegis of the District Administration, UNICEF, the Samagra Shiksha Department, Sarvhitam, and the Agricone Foundation.

Focus on Leadership Building in Tribal Areas

The Chief Guest of the programme was Mr. Divyansh Singh Chauhan, Assistant Director, Department of Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development. In his inspiring address, he said that the core objective of the Adi Karmyogi Abhiyan is to strengthen local leadership in tribal villages so that communities can design and lead their own development initiatives and reinforce self-governance with a spirit of service, commitment, and dedication.

He emphasized that when volunteers assume leadership roles at the village level, the real benefits of development schemes reach society.

A National-Level Campaign with Village-Level Impact

Master Trainer Mr. Yogesh Kumar, CDPO Jashpur, shared through a PPT presentation that this is a national-level initiative under which a network of over two million motivated volunteers is being developed across more than 550 districts in the country.

The campaign aims to establish a participatory, accountable, and dialogue-based system between governance structures and tribal communities, ensuring effective access to welfare schemes.

Motivational Guidance for Volunteers

Mr. Yogesh Purohit, Project Coordinator, Agricone Foundation, guided the Adi Karmyogi volunteers on the theme “Hum Honge Kamyab – Pariksha Par Charcha” (We Will Succeed – Discussion on Exams). He stated that mental balance, positive thinking, and self-confidence are essential for success in examinations as well as in life.

Programme Framework and Coordination

The programme framework and objectives were presented by Ms. Shalini Gupta, District Coordinator (UNICEF & Agricone). She highlighted the various components of the Adi Karmyogi Volunteer Orientation and clarified the expected roles and responsibilities of volunteers.

Collective Effort Behind the Success

The success of the programme was supported by the dedicated contributions of Block Coordinators Gurudev Prasad, Pankaj Yadav, and Deepak Kumar, along with the Jai Ho group, National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers, and Adi Karmyogi volunteers.

This orientation programme proved to be a significant step toward strengthening the Adi Karmyogi Abhiyan in Jashpur district and building empowered, aware, and responsible leadership within tribal communities.
