Jashpur / An inspiring one-day interaction programme of volunteers associated with the Jai Ho programme, National Service Scheme (NSS), and Scouts & Guides was successfully held in Jashpur district in collaboration with the Jashpur Police. The programme was organised with great enthusiasm, where volunteers shared their experiences of social work carried out in different fields. During the event, volunteers showcased their talents through games, sports, and cultural activities. They were also provided with technical and social awareness on sickle cell disease and health-related issues.
On this occasion, Superintendent of Police Shri Shashi Mohan Singh and Smt. Rekha Singh, who were specially present, guided and motivated the volunteers.
Addressing the volunteers, Superintendent of Police Shri Shashi Mohan Singh said that while bringing about social change, special attention should be given to building five key foundations for completing any work: first— the ideological base, i.e., what we aim to establish; second— the person who will carry out the work; third— the methodology or means of execution; fourth— the various efforts and initiatives required to complete the work; and fifth— when these four are fulfilled, destiny and the intended benefits naturally manifest.
He reiterated the commitment to work together with volunteers and the police on issues related to necessary improvements in Jashpur district. For this purpose, he advocated preparing a special plan so that better change can be brought with clarity, credibility, and effectiveness.
In this programme, organised with the coordination of UNICEF and Agricon Foundation, detailed information about the Yuvoday App was also jointly shared. This app is a social programme–based digital platform that helps in continuously tracking the real-time progress and impact of initiatives aimed at large-scale positive change.
The event was well-organised, inspiring, and energising towards social service. It strengthened hopes for building a better society through collective efforts of district and block coordinators, NSS officers, and the police force.
What is the Yuvoday App
The Yuvoday App is a digital platform developed to connect youth and volunteers with social activities, record their work, and recognise their contributions. Through this app, volunteers can easily register and log in, and upload their daily social tasks along with photos, descriptions, dates, and GPS locations. The submitted tasks are verified by district and block coordinators, ensuring transparency and credibility.
The app displays volunteer performance through scores, a Top-10 volunteer list, and rewards. Earned rewards can be redeemed for gifts. In addition, the app offers useful features such as events and reminders, notifications, training (tutorial) videos, blog sharing, and options to update personal information, education details, address, and password.
Overall, the Yuvoday App is an effective tool to enhance youth participation, provide a platform for social efforts, and systematically drive positive change. It is being operated by the Chhattisgarh Agricon Committee.
