Swayamsevaks Continue Marching Fearlessly as Chants of “Jai Shri Ram” Echo Across the Streets

Raipur | Heavy rain, loud thunder, and a dark night could not dampen the spirit of the swayamsevaks of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Tikrapara Nagar. On the occasion of the RSS centenary year, the specially organised Kaumudi Path Sanchalan displayed a remarkable example of patriotism, discipline, courage, and organisational strength on the streets of Tikrapara.As the scheduled time of the night march began, intense rainfall started pouring heavily. Despite the challenging weather and lightning, the swayamsevaks did not postpone the programme. Demonstrating discipline, punctuality, and dedication towards duty, they continued the march in perfect formation, step by step, with even greater enthusiasm.As the rain intensified, so did the energy of the participants. Drenched in rain, yet marching with pride in disciplined rows along with the sound of ghosh instruments, the procession attracted the attention of passersby and local residents. At several places, people enthusiastically raised loud chants of “Jai Shri Ram”, which further boosted the morale of the swayamsevaks.Even the police personnel deployed for security arrangements were deeply moved by the scene. Many officers saluted the marching volunteers in appreciation, while some described the event as a “live example of patriotism.

”On this occasion, RSS Prant Prachar Pramukh Sanjay Tiwari, while addressing the gathering, said that such path sanchalans during the centenary year of RSS are aimed at strengthening the spirit of nationalism, unity, and national character-building in society. He emphasised that youth inspired by national values have a vital role in nation-building.Around 70 swayamsevaks participated in the march, while dozens of RSS functionaries and volunteers remained actively engaged in managing the arrangements.

What is Kaumudi Path Sanchalan?

The “Kaumudi Path Sanchalan” of RSS is a special and disciplined night march, generally organised around the full moon period. In this procession, swayamsevaks march in full uniform accompanied by *ghosh* instruments such as *Anak* (drum), *Shring* (bugle), *Pranav* (conch), and other traditional instruments, spreading the message of patriotism, discipline, and cultural unity. It is considered an effective medium to present the RSS spirit of organisation, discipline, and its “Panch Pran” vision before society.
